Sometimes, I'll be doing some meaningless, stupid physical task.  Jokingly I'll always say in a super serious voice "This is why I crossfit!" Mainly, I'm just poking fun at myself and the crazy sport of fitness. It does however bring up a good question. Why do we crossfit? Everyone's answer would be different, motivations, and drive could be any number of reasons. Whatever your reason, it drives you, motivates you, and pushes you to do what most others will not. What was the reason you started crossfit? Is it still the reason you do it today? I want you to think of your fitness journey as a marathon. It's not a sprint, it's a long, grueling, 26.2 miles of suck. One thing that makes going the distance easier is using checkpoints, make it to one, then on to the next, etc, etc. With out the sweet metaphor, it's basically this. You start with one long term goal(marathon), then you have your short term goals(checkpoints), keeping you on track to your long term goal. If you really want to get something out of your fitness journey, you have to be strapped in for the long haul. It's a lifestyle, a way of life, you can't think of it any other way. Comment below on want some of your checkpoints are.

I started cf when two of my friend wanted to try it. I did not want to but didn't want to be left out so mad and angry I went a long. The first friend quit after two months the second after two or three years. That was Aug. 3rd 2010. What drives me to keep going is the though of walking into thrive and being a number.. What I love the most about it is it's never the same. I try and go five days a week. I stay up long enough to see what crazy shit going to be posted some time I stress over it some time I try and figure out how the heck I will get it done or just go to sleep. Get up go and before u know it I am done. It always feels good. I think the biggest thing for me I guess check point our the people I have met a long the way, amazing coaches am peeps, people from my old box. Feeling strong and loving it.
